Each year, emerging makeup artists enter the IMATS Battle of the Brushes competitions. This year in our very own Toronto, we’re proud to announce that recent CMU grads, Kaixia Zhang and Nicole Pilon, took home the first and second place titles of Sunday’s beauty and fantasy Battle of the Brushes competition. at the IMATS at the Metro Convention Centre. With 2 hours to complete the hair and makeup for their predesigned looks, the artists’ had to follow the competition theme of “Art through the Decades”. Their inspirations for the designs speak for themselves.
