CMU’s Film & TV Makeup Instructor, Lynda McCormack, lent her talent to the set of Born to be Blue by taking on the role of Key Makeup Artist. Born to be Blue, featuring Ethan Hawke as legendary jazz musician Chet Baker, premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and critics are raving about the motion picture.
“Hawke embodies Baker with a high whisper of a voice, missing teeth and a quirky cadence. It’s a riveting performance from first scene to last. He seems uncomfortable in his own skin, but more out of insecurity than anything else. We don’t usually see Hawke play characters this vulnerable and scared.” – Brian Tallerico, Roger Ebert
