We recognize and value the comments and feedback from our students and alumni around their experience at CMU as black people and people of colour. We appreciate the passion and the advocacy that everybody is showing. We want you to know that we hear the issue, and we have been having conversations internally and in the broader community for some time to attempt to address it.
We are committed to making actionable change and effective immediately we are pleased to welcome Robert Weir, long-time CMU consultant and teacher to our Advisory Board. With his help and others we hope to meaningfully address issues in our school and our creative industries around diversity and inclusivity with a pledge to do better. We will do our absolute best.
